Deliverance

Deliverance is a very important step into healing and freedom. However, deliverance is only one step in your journey of freedom and healing. It is not the end game or final result. Your journey of healing and freedom is a process, and that process needs to be guided by Jesus Christ. This process cannot be rushed. It takes time and work and trust in Jesus.

Although there are many types of deliverance, I highly recommend a deliverance by a trained ministry who does interrogation of the head demon, and then gets to the rights of the head demon in order to completely remove it and all it’s minions. The reason I recommend this is because if we do not remove the head demon in charge, that same head demon will summon more demons to take the place of any we cast out. We must remove the rights that allow these strongholds to stay in us.

This type of deliverance will also help you to uncover hidden generational curses, blood rights, and things coming through our blood lines. Any ministry should not allow demonic manifestations, but should have complete control over the demonic in Jesus name, allowing only what the Lord requires to come out during the session. A deliverance ministry should be led by the Holy Spirit and walk in the authority Jesus has give them.

I do not recommend self deliverance because the average person does not have the skills required to cast out the head demon and get to the rights it has been given. Not because they do not have the authority, but because they do not have the knowledge and understanding that comes with this training.

I have several resources on deliverance I will list below, which will greatly help you to understand what deliverance is, why it’s important, what to expect from it, and if you may need it.

The Ex Witch And The Occult Connection

  • ex witchWhen I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ, I as an ex witch. I had not, to my knowledge, been actively participating in witchcraft anymore. I did believe in the paganism ideologies of oneness with the universe, higher self realization, many gods and goddesses, and much more however. I acknowledged the witch holy days such as Winter Solstice and Ostara, and I had many idols around the house in tribute to gods and goddesses. I also had books on the occult and new age beliefs I held, that I read still.

I was very willing to repent of all of these things once I gave my life to Christ. I believed with all my heart that God was the One True Living God and Creator of everything. I got rid of the books and idols, etc. as the Holy Spirit moved me too. I started learning more about how the beliefs I held were false, and contradictory to God’s Word. I was willing of absolutely all of it, because I had found true unconditional love  and hope for the first time in my life. That alone was worth far more than all the trash I had in my life.

The Holy Spirit made many, many changes in my life. I had lived a very wordly and sinful life up until that point. He moved me to do a 180 turnaround and was forming me into a new creation. It was a beautiful thing, and I could just feel the Spirit radiating from within me, as I continued to be obedient to His leadings. Yet as I continued to change I noticed that there were things that still plagued me. I had anger issues that were borderline rage. I had health problems that would not be healed no matter what I would do. I had depression that seemed to be healed after a life of it, then would creep back in as suicidal thoughts. I began to learn about demons and spiritual attack. I became desperate to experience true freedom in Christ. Yet it became illusive to me.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:12

Every time I would seek out help, prayer and deliverance I would have to tell about my past involvement with witchcraft. Each time I would willingly repent of it, desperate to just be free of it, if that was what was holding on to me. I could literally hear the devil speaking in my head, telling me he would never let me go. I was desperately afraid that this was indeed truth. With everything that plagued me, it seemed very true.

Finally I had a deliverance session that would forever change my life. I gained a lot of information through this deliverance session about generational curses and blood covenants that were made, but I had no idea what that meant. I had no idea the truth about witchcraft and it’s affects on ones life, even though I had been right in the middle of it. In these past few months I have come to learn more about witchcraft and what it does and it has blown my reality away. I thought I knew about magic. I had no idea.

When you are in the occult – practicing any form of witchcraft; you are opening a door to the demonic. This door allows and gives rights to demons (the minions of the devil) to you and your soul. Your soul is your mind, emotions and will. So in essence practicing witchcraft is turning over your thoughts, your beliefs, your feelings and your free will to the devil. This usually comes in stages and progresses as it goes. In most cases a person never fully gives themselves over to the devil the first time.

It is very easy to believe that once you have been saved by Jesus Christ and have repented of your sin of witchcraft, that you are free of it. But this is not true. Witchcraft is a very sneaky thing, much like the devil. You see, the devil is not going to waste his time playing around as a child with toys. He is very clever and divisive in his ways. He wants to make sure that when we open a door into his realm, we cannot easily get out. Like a maze. You walk in and think you will quickly find the exit, but find yourself wandering for so long you loose track of time. This is what witchcraft is like. Once you are in, you do not just walk out.

We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

1 John 5:9

When a person does witchcraft (and this includes every form of witchcraft there is, even as “little” as yoga or Ouija boards), they open the door. Then each time they do witchcraft they are inviting in demon spirits. Each spirit brings something in with it to connect them within your person. This could be false beliefs or sickness or addiction, etc. More importantly it causes you to feel that you have tapped in to a power – which you have. The power of the demonic (aka the occult or witchcraft). You feel the power in some way or another. It may be a high, a surge, a force and “awakening” or something similar. This feeling is incredibly satisfying to our senses and fleshly ways and it creates a desire within us to continue to do it. So the person wants to delve deeper into the witchcraft practice, to reach higher levels of this power they have experienced.

What is actually happening is they are granting more and more access to the depths of their soul to the demonic, giving them more and more rights into them. Rights are permissions to use our bodies for their works and feed our soul with their beliefs and demonic spirits. Satan wants us to become portals for his evil work. Once we him access, we are connected to his power, and he sets up things inside of us that can work without our conscious knowledge. So basically, we are actually doing witchcraft and we are not even aware of it. The connection has been made and we have done it on our own free will.

How does this work? It is kind of like running a program on the computer. Say you open the internet and are surfing the web. Then you decide you want to start another project, such as writing an essay or making a poster, etc. You minimize the internet window, but it is still running. Maybe you need it for research later. You open up Word or another program and begin on your new project. You have forgotten you were on the internet. Yet in the background the internet is running. The connection was established. And even if you were to close the window, you can get back onto the internet in seconds, because you have already established the connection, and have the browser readily available.

That is what witchcraft is like. It is an open connection, already established and ready to be used at any time. All you have to do is tap into it. Except in this case, we don’t ever actually close it, like that window, so it is always running, even when we are unaware. That is the deception of witchcraft. It comes in disguise as light, but in reality it is the most dangerous thing you can ever do. You are like a loaded weapon walking around, and the devil can use you anytime he pleases, without any future consent. You have already given over so many rights to yourself, that you don’t need to give any more permission.

But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

Psalm 5:11

There is a lot of work that goes in to disconnecting yourself from darkness. The amount of work depends on the depth you have gotten into witchcraft. If you only ever dabbled in Ouija boards as a teen, there will be less work to do then if you were a full blown witch casting circles and doing spells. Of course most people who dabble in witchcraft, tend to dive deeper than they even realize. Magic is so deceptive and disguises itself in so many forms, that often times we are practicing witchcraft without even realizing what it is.

The first start to becoming disconnected with witchcraft is an in-depth deliverance session. I have talked to many people who have had past involvement in the occult, but are still plagued by various problems. Some are just physical illness and others are having supernatural experiences of one kind or another. They have all gone through the steps to repent, renounce, pray for release, etc. Yet they are all plagued. The devil wants us to think that we have walked away from the occult, so he can continue to use us for his purposes and damage our relationship with God.

There are many types of deliverance possible, and I have tried a lot! I have tried all kinds of healing prayer and having demons cast out for over a year before I found a ministry that really made an impact. This deliverance ministry goes right to the head demon inside. Demons have a hierarchy, just like the army, ranging from high ranking to low level. The head demon inside of a person is going to be a higher ranking demon, but still be under another more powerful demon than itself. It is going to have assignments in how it works to stop the call God has on your life and hinder your relationship with God, as well as working witchcraft around you.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7

way outYou can cast out as many demons as you want, spirits of infirmity, despair, rage, addiction, etc. But if you don’t get right to the head of them all, the head will just call more lower level demons in to serve him. Remember, you have already opened up the connection, and they need no further permission. If you go straight to the head demon and break all of his rights and kick him out, all his underlings will have to go to. It is a wonderful way to make a clean break and start your road to freedom.

Deliverance is just the beginning step to healing from being involved in the occult. You may have to go into a deeper, inner healing type of journey, to begin to find out where you have made other connections willingly with the devil, and then have Jesus help you break them. Every person is different, and you need to be completely led by the Holy Spirit in every step of a deliverance and healing. After a deliverance you should see major fruit of the freedom that you have gained from it. If you go through a deliverance and still have spiritual oppression or signs of supernatural activity in your life, you may have not gone through a proper deliverance.

If you have been involved in the occult in any way, and are wondering why you aren’t experiencing true freedom, then it is time to take this to God. He has a huge call over your life, and believe me, the enemy will stop at nothing to keep you from it! You have a choice to make: either stay comfortable in the life you have now, or take a step out in faith to ask for help and begin this most important journey. It is not an easy step. And if you have hesitation or anger about the idea of deliverance, it is because the demons inside of you do not want to lose their foothold! God has not brought you this far so you can just stay connected to darkness. You did not know you were involved with the devil when you were in the occult, because the devil had you fooled. Now you have new insight from the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, and it’s time to break every chain! Hallelujah!

When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”

Judges 6:12

The Purpose of A Deliverance Ministry

deliverance ministryLast summer I had the amazing opportunity to encounter a deliverance ministry that would forever change my life. I did not know much about deliverance, although I had attempted it several times before, either on my own or through the help of others who prayed for me. I had no idea deliverance was even something important or necessary in my life. I only knew that spiritually things were wrong and something had to change. It took me over a year of research to even understand the concept of deliverance and why it was important, but it was not until my own deliverance did I realize how great an impact it would have on my life.

Merriam-Webster define’s deliverance as: the state of being saved from something dangerous or unpleasant. The Bible has at least 85 verses that talk about God delivering us (rescuing, saving) from troubles, distress, fear, enemies, the wicked, destruction and more. Jesus has brought us the greatest deliverance of all time, by dying on the cross to give us freedom from death and hell.

Commonly, deliverance is referred to as a spiritual deliverance from demonic oppression. We are spiritual beings in a physical body, surrounded by a spiritual realm unseen by our eyes. Jesus cast out demons from the Jews all throughout the Gospels, and the disciples and apostles have many stories of casting out demons from people as well. Deliverance is not something often talked about in Christian circles, yet it is one of the most important experiences a Christian can have.

Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.

Matthew 10:1

There is a common misconception that Christians cannot have demons. The belief holds that a Christian cannot have demons and have the Holy Spirit at the same time. Demons can harass Christians, or possibly attach to Christians, but cannot be inside of a Christian in any way. This is a belief that has taken root in the church over the past century, but if you look through the history of deliverance, you will see it was quite common for hundreds of years. The devil wants to stamp out the very thought of demonic oppression in Christians, because he can effectively keep his strong hold if we do not believe we can have demons.

There is nothing in scripture that says we cannot have demons if we have the Holy Spirit. Even Paul the Apostle had what he called a “thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan, to torment me.” We know for a fact that the Apostle Paul was filled with the Holy Spirit, and even went to the throne room of God – he speaks about it in the very same passage he talks about being tormenting by a demon. God did not deliver Paul from this demon, yet used it, at least for a time, to teach Paul about relying on God alone. It seems like a harsh way to learn a lesson, but we see something similar in a story about King Saul.

Now the Spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him. Saul’s attendants said to him, “See, an evil spirit from God is tormenting you. Let our lord command his servants here to search for someone who can play the lyre. He will play when the evil spirit from God comes on you, and you will feel better.”

1 Samuel 16:14-16

It is difficult to look at a passage such as this, and see that God Himself sent an evil spirit to torment King Saul. Yet, it is here in scripture. God is sovereign and in control of all creation. Therefore He has to give permission to the devil and his minions when it comes to allowing them to harass His children. Why would an all loving God do such a thing? For the same reason God gave permission for Paul to be tormented – “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10. We have to learn about humility and dependence on God, in the face of hardships and persecution, just as Christ did. That may be a tough pill to swallow, but it is actually a beautiful thing.

We are so reliant on this physical world and all we see and feel. It becomes a hindrance; a crutch, to our spiritual lives. We forget so easily that the devil is a prowling lion, seeking to devour us. We go about our lives believing that all of our problems are just symptoms of our lives; pain because we over use our bodies, health problems because of the food we eat, depression because of our genetics, etc. Sure those things do play a part in our lives, but we are completely over looking the root of all of these problems. The spiritual nature of this world and ourselves.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

1 Peter 5:8

The reality is, pretty much every single person has some form of demonic oppression. When I say ‘demonic oppression’ I am referring to having a demon(s) inside of your physical being. A Christian cannot be possessed by demons, meaning demons cannot be in your spirit. That is where the Holy Spirit is. They can be in your physical being though, influencing your soul (mind, body, emotion). A person who has not given their life over to Jesus Christ can be possessed by demons. That would move from oppression to possession.

The devil is very busy working on stealing you away from God, starting generations before you are even born. Not because you in particular are special to him, but because he wants as many people in his kingdom as he can possible get. All the devil needs to do is get on man in a family to commit his life to darkness, and that one man will commit every generation under him indefinitely. This give rights to the devil over that one man’s family – his children, and children’s children, and so on.

So you yourself may not have done anything to give rights over to demonic oppression, but your grandfather, or great great grandfather may have, and you would have no idea. Your family may have a history of depression or alcoholism, etc; that is a sign of demonic oppression that has come down your family line. That is just one of the many signs that you can see. So even if you grew up in a Christian home and gave your life to Christ at a young age, you still need a deliverance because you have to break off generational sin.

Keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.

Exodus 34:7

A deliverance is part of the salvation experience. There are six parts to the word salvation: welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety. Deliverance is a very important step in the process of salvation. Without deliverance you are not clearing out the places where darkness has had a chance to get a foothold to make more room for the filling of the Holy Spirit. Without a doubt, the Holy Spirit comes to reside in every believer who confesses Jesus Christ as Lord; but how much of yourself are you able to give over to the Holy Spirit to indwell? If you have covenants with darkness that you are unaware of, then those places are left untouched by the Spirit of God. If you decide to believe it is impossible to have any darkness in you because you have Christ, you are denying a very important truth. We are all sinners – born sinners. Your sin does not leave the moment you accept Christ into your heart. It is part of the process of sanctification. So why believe a lie that you have never partnered with darkness, knowingly or unknowingly? You are giving the devil a continued foothold that will go into the next generation to come.

The Holy Spirit wants to come indwell us not only to commune with us, but to bring us healing. Without healing we cannot completely connect with the Spirit of God. It is pride-fullness to believe we have never partnered with darkness. Darkness is a part of this world and everything of the world. It would be impossible to go through life and never partner with darkness in one way or another. Only Jesus Christ, the perfect one, was able to achieve that. Even Jesus was tempted many times, to partner with the devil and his lies. Thankfully He did not, otherwise we would never even be able to move into salvation.

Deliverance is a part of the healing process. When you come to God, you are broken. Many are worn down from the ways of the world, and have spent a lifetime sinning against God purposefully. We need to be healed from the lies of the world we have let become one with our thoughts. We need to get healing from the emotional and mental pain we have experienced in life. Deliverance is a step towards this process of healing, because the demonic always partners with our pain and the lies of the world. It is like a spring cleaning. We are resurrected with Christ and walk into a new life. Do you want to bring unnecessary baggage with you?

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

atthecrossIf you are ready to take the next step into deliverance, then that is a wonderful thing. It takes great strength to first realize you have a problem and need help, and second reach out and ask for help. There is help for you! God has not left you to do this life alone. He is right here with you! He is ready to walk with you into this journey of healing. He is going to strengthen and empower you to be able to do this. If the thought of a deliverance brings fear, then you need to understand, that is the demonic inside of you. The last thing they want is to be discovered and kicked out! If you are feeling angry at the thought of deliverance, then that too is demonic. The demons do not want you to believe in deliverance, because that means you have to accept that you might have demons. And if you accept that you might have demons, you are being empowered to freedom! The devil is a slave driver and does not want you to be free!!!

Just know that deliverance isn’t about getting 100% free of demons. You are going to receive great freedom, but you may have some more work to do after your initial deliverance. That is where an inner healing would come in. If you still have problems you have some very deep roots into darkness that you have oppressed and need help to uncover. That is OK! It is actually good! Because if you are willing to reach that level of freedom, well watch out Satan! You are going to be unleashed into the amazing plan and calling God has over your life! Are you willing to accept that calling that God has for you? It is a choice you have to make. It is not easy. Yet if you choose to walk into that journey, then you must know that you are going to receive a crown of glory and honor in heaven! Amazing!!

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. 1 Peter 5:2-4

Can A Christian Have Demons?

demonsThe topic of demons seems to be quite controversial among Christians, which is very surprising considering that the Bible mentions demons 70 times. If you believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, then you should believe that demons and demonic oppression are very real and something that every Christian needs to learn about. The Bible makes it clear that we have a very real enemy – Satan. He is out to get us and he starts when we are young. He will not go easy on us because we are little; he will pull out all of the stops and do whatever it takes to destroy us, kill our relationship with God, and steal our hope and joy. It is his sole mission here on earth.

I have been told that it is impossible for a Christian to have demons. There is a school of thought out there that says if you have the Holy Spirit you cannot possibly have demons. The Holy Spirit cannot be near evil at all. If that were true then we would never sin again once we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior. If God Himself cannot stand to be anywhere near evil, then why is Satan allowed into His throne room? If the Holy Spirit cannot be near demons, then why when Jesus came upon people who were being tormented by demons, did the demons not immediately run away or leave the person at His presence? Instead the demons addressed Jesus and asked Him what He wanted with them!

Why does the Bible not specifically state a Christian can have a demon? The Bible is clear about this matter actually. Jesus, His disciples and the Apostles cast out demons time and time again in the New Testament. These people were all children of God, exactly as we are, with the exception that they had yet to receive the Holy Spirit. They were not called Christians because the term Christian was not coined until around A.D. 70 in Antioch. The first Christians were actually Jews. Christians experiencing demonic oppression are not limited to the New Testament either. In the Old Testament we read about King Saul who was tormented by evil spirits many times. This evil spirit caused King Saul to try on several occasions to kill David and to wreak havoc around him.

For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.

Galations 5:17

What exactly are demons? Are they the same as evil spirits? There are different theories to what demons are but most likely they are the fallen angels Satan took when him when he fell to earth. They are most certainly his faithful servants who live to do his evil work to cause harm to all humans here on earth. Demons and evil spirits are the same thing. Demons have many disguises in which they try to deceive humans. They come in the form of aliens, dead relatives who speak to us, ghosts, imaginary friends, and the dead who speak through Ouija boards or mediums. The Bible makes it clear once you die you have no consciousness and no ability to communicate any longer. If you have seen a ghost or have talked to a dead relative, you are being tricked by a demon or familiar spirit. You have allowed demons into your life and this is dangerous. You need to seek help from God in getting rid of them and cutting off the rights you have given them to your life.

How can you know if you have demons? I really hate to say this, but chances are pretty good that most Christians do have demons. How does a person let a demon in? There are several ways in which we let demons in. 1) through sin – past or present,  2) through generational and ancestral curses, 3) inviting them in through movies/TV/games/music that are demonic, 4) abuse and/or trauma and 5) being involved with witchcraft of any kind, including the occult, new age and more. These are the most common ways that we let demons in. Once you open up the door to the demonic and agree with it, you have given it rights to stay. Which it will do until the rights get broken and it gets kicked out. With generational and ancestral curses you don’t even have to give it rights – someone else in your family line already has, and it will affect every generation under you.

What most Christians don’t know, and what is rarely talked about in the church, is that deliverance and healing are a must for every person that comes to Jesus Christ. Whether you have been a Christian since a child, or came to Him as an adult, we all have wounds, trauma, and pain that needs to be healed. It could be something that seems small like divorce or verbal abuse from a parent, or something bigger like sexual abuse or drug use. Demons love to ride on pain and trauma and the beliefs that we accept through these kind of situations. If you are verbally abused as a child and told you are stupid, worthless, and never going to amount to anything, you begin to believe these lies and demons use them to attach to you. These lies cause deep roots in you as time goes on, and bury themselves so the belief is so strong that you don’t even remember the events that led to it. You just know you are stupid and worthless. The demons use this belief to wreak havoc in your life and relationships. This is just one of the many ways that demons can use pain and trauma to cause you great harm.

A man in the crowd called out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child.  A spirit seizes him and he suddenly screams; it throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying him.  I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not.” “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.” Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the impure spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father.

Luke 9:38-42

What is deliverance? Deliverance is when you use the authority of Jesus Christ to remove or cast our demons from within your personal being. Demons can attach themselves to you on the inside or the outside. They cannot be where your spirit is if you are a Christian, that is where the Holy Spirit lives. They can be just about everywhere else though. A Christian cannot be possessed, because that means you are being controlled by the demon. That is not possible thanks to the power of the Holy Spirit. Deliverance is for Christians, not for those who haven’t accept Jesus as Savior. If you do not have the Holy Spirit and try to remove demonic oppression, the demons will just come back in full force. There is nothing keeping them out. If you have the Holy Spirit and break the rights and kick them out, they cannot come back. That doesn’t mean they won’t try!

There are some common signs of the presence of demons inside of you. Here is a list of some of the problems that can be attributed to demonic oppression.

stuck in sinful behavior that cannot be stopped no matter how hard you try

chronic pain that has no relief, such as back pain or headaches

chronic diseases such as fibromyalgia or cistic fibrosis

eating disorders of all kinds

suicidal tendencies or fascination with death

any kind of addiction, including pornography, drugs, alcohol, etc.

uncontrollable moods that can’t be explained, such as always being angry, sad or anxious

inability to read the Bible or pray; feeling disconnected from God

hearing or seeing strange entities; demons, dead relatives, animals that follow you, voices in your head

Feeling tired all the time or unable to stay awake, especially during church or Bible study time

These are just some of the many ways that demons can affect your life. This does not mean every one of these things is demonic. There is no absolutes here. This is just to give you an idea and an understanding of the basics of demonic oppression and why deliverance is necessary and important for all believers. Deliverance is the first step to healing. Once you go through a deliverance session, then you can begin to heal inside pain and trauma that have been stored up during your life. Without deliverance, healing does not come as easily or completely.

There are many types of deliverance. As a new believer I knew I had serious problems because I was always angry for no reason, began to feel disconnected to God and then had an unexplainable sickness that I could not cure no matter what. I had so many prayer sessions from many people who I looked up to as prayer warriors or had the gift of healing and I never could get complete relief, if any at all. I was tired of suffering an knew there was more to life as a Christian than being miserable. Christ has promised us victory and freedom here and now. I knew I should be able to experience it, but could not. Finally I found a deliverance ministry that goes for the head demon inside of a person. Once you get to the head demon and break it’s rights, you can kick him out and all the minions underneath it as well. Otherwise you can keep kicking demons out, but the head demon can bring more minions in because he is still there.

When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.  Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order.  Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.

Matthew 12:43-45

There is nothing to fear in the face of demonic oppression in any way. Jesus has defeated Satan and has him under His foot. As believers Jesus has given us power and authority over the devil and his dark forces as well. We just need to first accept that they are indeed working to destroy us, then we need to find out how they are doing it so we can stop it. Any person can do deliverance on themselves if they so desire. If you pray earnestly and ask God to help you, the Holy Spirit can guide you through deliverance. Some people will have very few and some will have many. It does not matter how demonized you are, because no one is out of reach of the hand of God. Truly it is God Himself that does the deliverance and it is only guided by humans. It is only by His power and Jesus name that we are freed and released from demonic oppression.

freeIf you suspect demonic oppression in your life, then I say rejoice. Yes, rejoice. The first step to deliverance is knowing you have a problem! So praise the Lord. Many people cannot even believe they could have demons (mostly because the demons inside them are convincing them so they can continue to stay!) so they cannot reach out for help. Getting help is the second step. You are not alone. Whatever pain, ailment, or other problems you are experiencing right now, GOD HAS NOT ABANDONED YOU! He knows your pain and He is right there with you. He has not relegated you to a life of suffering, but of freedom! He has brought you here to this place right now so that He can begin to walk with you in freedom from this bondage. This is the first step and He is going to continue with you in this journey until He has given you full restoration!! Believe it! Do not give up. No matter how hopeless it may seem or how hard or how many obstacles come in your way, do not give up! God has not given up on you!!

And just know, that whatever the devil has done in your life is for a good reason. You have a calling on your life! You have work to do for the Kingdom of God. The devil knows this and he will stop at nothing to keep you from doing God’s work. Take heart in this and know that the devil cannot stop you, unless you allow him. Stand up and fight, and if you are too weak, then ask God to fight for you. He will hold you up with His mighty hand until you are strong enough to fight side by side with Him. If you have any questions or need prayer, please feel free to contact me! Be blessed!

The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

Witness to a Spiritual Deliverance

amazing-736885_640I have to admit, my husband and I have not always had the best relationship. When we first met, I actually did not like him. At all. In fact, he annoyed me. I actually love to tell this story, because now we are very close and in love. He is my best friend and I cannot imagine life without him! It was a miracle from God that moved my heart toward him in a time when I did not even believe in God or even in love. We started dating when we were just friends and I was far from ready for a relationship. I had just come out of a very abusive 5 year relationship and I wanted nothing more to do with relationships ever again.

My husband was quite determined however, that I would be his. In just a few short months time we were living together due to unforeseen circumstances. Yet still, I did not have deep feelings for him. The deepest feelings I had at that time were of fear and the need to protect myself from being hurt again. My husband had also come out of an abusive relationship, and so we both had a lot of baggage as we entered into a hesitant commitment. There were many times where we would get into explosive arguments and even come to physical blows with each other.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Again, I can only say by a miracle of God we stayed together and within a year were married. It was not that we didn’t love each other, but we were just two broken, messed up people, who had no clue on how to deal with relational problems. My husband had a pretty bad temper when I first met him. And there were some times that he even scared me. Those memories are long gone now, as we have been through immense healing by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet he still seemed to carry anger with him, even into his walk with Jesus. It bothered me a lot. There were also some other things that he carried over, such as his lack of communication. I often felt that he didn’t listen to me, and there would be many times that I would talk to him and he just wouldn’t even respond. It was a huge point of contention for us, and it caused many, many fights.

During the past two years as our walk in the Christian faith, I have spent a lot of time seeking our spiritual deliverance. Within the first year I began to learn about spiritual attack and the reality of demons in my life. These were things that I would not have even believed in before, yet my life was being turned upside down by many physical and emotional ailments. My husband too had other problems outside of his anger and communication, such as bad back and neck pain that would not ever go away, and just falling asleep at Bible studies. I really wanted him to also seek out spiritual deliverance, but he just didn’t seem to think he was worth the healing of spiritual deliverance. I tried pushing him into seeking it out, as I was, but he would not. Finally I let it go, and continued on my own path to spiritual deliverance.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Finally after many prayer and healing sessions I had a huge turn in my spiritual healing! I met with a spiritual deliverance ministry that went toe to toe with the head demon living inside of me. I learned so much about why I had continued physical and emotional ailments that I just could not be healed of, not matter what I did. And at the end of this amazing prayer session when the spiritual deliverance ministers asked the Holy Spirit to speak to me, there was a clear message directed to my husband. The message of the Holy Spirit was that it was now my husband’s turn to experience true spiritual deliverance and healing! I was beyond excited, and so began to process of getting my husband ready for his own spiritual deliverance appointment!

The spiritual deliverance ministry requires a short questionnaire to be filled out before the appointment is made. This in itself posed a problem, because I knew it would be very difficult to get my husband to sit down and fill it out. It took about two weeks for him to answer the questions, but as soon as he did I emailed it in and we set an appointment for just a few days later. My husband was nervous after seeing my spiritual deliverance. The reality that he probably had demons living inside of him was intimidating to say the least. I can’t tell you the obstacles we had to overcome to make it to that appointment. But with faithfulness and obedience to the Lord, we made it.

“And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” Psalm 50:15

I have to admit I was quite excited to be on the other end of the spiritual deliverance this time. This ministry was quite experienced and capable, and I was eager to see my husband experience new-found freedom. I was also interested to see what ways the enemy has tried to oppress him from his Godly calling in life. The ministry team began by having my husband read a prayer that helped him to repent for past sins and any right he had given over to demons unknowingly through that sin. They then went right into interrogating the head demon in charge. The way this works is they command the demon to become subject to them by the power and authority of Jesus. This way the demon has to answer and do so truthfully.

I watched and listened for over two hours as they questioned this head demon. It was a very straightforward process and we found out answers to many things that had seemed to hinder my husband for so many years. For instance, his anger. It came from a blood sacrifice done over him by his father in a Masonic ceremony. My husbands grandfather was a Mason, and it went up for many generations . The Masons are a polytheistic religion that incorporates many pagan rituals into it. This rituals are often done for power, fame, and wealth. Children are often dedicated to one of their many gods to gain these great benefits. These rituals can include blood-letting, homosexual acts, and child sacrifice. This masonry opens you up to a spirit of anger, rage, hate, chaos and violence.

This head demon also gave specific information on a relationship curse that was over my husband, that caused the breakdown of all relationships. This curse hindered my husband from communicating with people he loved. Wow. That was huge for me, because for so many years I held anger and resentment for time times I felt that my husband was refusing to talk to me or listen to me. This demon also admitted to times when he and his minions tried to kill my husband. Such as causing him to fall asleep while cooking, which led to his stove catching on fire. Or causing him to drive drunk so he would get into an accident.

Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Luke 10:19

I know many people do not believe in demons, or the fact that they can indeed reside inside of a Christian. However this is another lie of the enemy. You can indeed have the Holy Spirit indwelling in your own spirit, and still have a demon inside of you as well. If you have the Holy Spirit inside of you, demons cannot go into your human spirit. They can however come into your physical being and once we give them rights or permission unknowingly, they are allowed to stay. Some may say this is crazy or impossible, but I tell you the truth. There is absolutely nowhere in scripture that says a Christian cannot have demons inside of them. Christians cannot be possessed – that is when a demon can be in your very spirit – there is a difference.

spiritual deliveraceSince this amazing spiritual deliverance my husband is indeed a new man with a new-found freedom. Before where he felt unable to read the Bible, he now is reading it every single day. This demon made it clear that he wanted to keep my husband from the Word and the Truth! That the Truth of God’s Word is power! My husband has been released from all back and neck pain as well – which the demon admitted was 100% demonic. My husband was walking around in demonic oppression, suffering for so many years but was completely unaware. And so are many other people in this world. We are living in the enemies domain and he hates us more than anything. His passion in life is to destroy people, because we are made in God’s image. Do not be fooled by the lies of Satan – he is a prowling lion waiting to devour you.

That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. Matthew 8:16

If you are reading this and you are full of disbelief or even disgust at such notions, I completely understand. There was a season in my life (ok more like most of my life) where I did not even believe in Satan or demons! And that was while I was a practicing witch! It was only through my seeking God with all of my heart, mind and soul, and asking for truth and asking for healing, that He began to reveal the truth of demonic oppression in this world. For me it was a slow journey, because it took some time for me to really believe that demons were in my life and wanting to torment me. I often asked myself if I was crazy, because this is not normal every day stuff in the US today. However, if you were to research other countries, the presence of demons is common knowledge and widely accepted.

Does this mean we should fear what the devil is doing to us at this very moment? Absolutely not! We should stand up and fight! We have been equipped with knowledge, power and authority to trample on the serpent! We have the Armor of God to protect us, and many accounts of Jesus Himself casting our demons from His people. Even the powers and principalities of darkness must bow at the name of Jesus! Be thankful for this wonderful things that God has given us, because He has created you for such a time as this! To rise up, as a mighty warrior for His Kingdom! To proclaim freedom from oppression, to release the captives from bondage and to walk in a partnership with the Holy Spirit.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
    because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Luke 4:18-19

I am so thankful for all the healing work God has done during this spiritual deliverance. My husband is a wonderful man whom I love with all of my heart. He is an amazing father and I thank God for Him every day. I also thank him for allowing me to share his testimony from my point of view for the purpose of advancing the Kingdom of God.
