Warfare Prayers

prayerPrayer is an important part of warfare against the enemy. When we begin to recognize we are in a war, we can begin to learn how to fight back. However, we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against the powers of the Kingdom of Darkness and the forces of hell. God does not want us to live in fear, but to walk in truth and love. Love is the ultimate weapon against fear and hate, and can bring us into alignment with the will of God for our lives. When we begin to love those who would seek to hurt us, we can actually begin to bring them into God’s purpose for them and out of the Kingdom of Darkness.

When we are in war sometimes we are overwhelmed by the difficulty and pain of it. Having prayers at the ready can help us to pray when our minds are unable to. Here I have given you a few of the prayers I have written in order to help me fight in times of war. I am pleased to share them with you, and I hope that you are blessed by them. Anyone can write their own prayers, if they seek the Lord and ask Him what to pray. I hope that as you grow closer to the Lord and learn to fight, you can write some of your own powerful prayers.

Love Against War

God I call upon the power of your all-consuming love to hold back every power of darkness and every work against me. I ask your holy and perfect love to cast out all fear from within my being. I pray that your love be an all-consuming fire within me now, dissipating all war, hate or witchcraft in me or over me right now.

Lord I pray your all-consuming love come over every one of my enemies and envelop them so strongly that it diminishes darkness within them permanently. I pray to be a beacon that emanates your love and light that sets the captives free. I pray for you to release your love upon every spirit coming against me now. Break every chain within them Lord. In Jesus name

Above The War

Lord I ask you to lift me above the war around me right now. I ask you to elevate my spirit and soul to a place of rest and respite, in your presence. I ask you to remove me from the midst of war into your holy dwelling place. Pour out your Spirit and your truth into my soul right now. Bring me into your presence, for it is with you that I belong.

I want more of you God right now. Remind me why I am here and why I chose you. Be the filter that I see this war through right now. Wash me in the river of living waters and feed me your bread of life right now God. I need you and you alone.

Bless Your Enemies

Lord Jesus, I bring before you ever person coming against me, my family, and my ministry right now. In Your word you say, “bless those who curse you, and pray for those who hurt you”. So I come before your throne in intercession for every person who has cursed or done evil to me, my family and my ministry. I bring these people into the throne room with me and say bless them Lord. Bless their lives, their families, and their homes Lord Jesus.

Turn every curse against me and every evil work upside down so that it turns every work of the enemy on its head. Every curse becomes a blessing in the Kingdom of God. Every work of evil becomes a work of exposing the lies of the devil in this world. Every plan for harm becomes a partnership with God Almighty for His purposes. Every doubt sown becomes hope alive inside them and me. All retaliation becomes joy and love sprouting up in their hearts and mine.

Take every act of the enemy and turn it to good in your Mighty hands Lord. For you are love. So let your love rule in our hearts and minds now, so that my enemies lay down every weapon formed against me and instead bow down to You. Let your love overcome them so that every allegiance with darkness is torn asunder. I proclaim all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Binding Witchcraft

Lord Jesus, the True and Living Son of God, who came in the flesh and was crucified for the sins of the world, I give you my heart, body, mind and soul. Please align every part of me with the Spirit of God Most High. On behalf of myself and my family, I repent of the sins of idolatry, sorcery, jealousy, strife, fits of anger, dissension, division, and rebellion against you God. You alone are my God, and I will have no other Gods before me.

In the name of Jesus I break the power of all witchcraft, spells, incantations, hexes, curses, and voodoo coming against me, my family, my ministry and my spiritual gifts. I bind every servant of the kingdom of darkness released through these words and rituals and command them to the feet of Jesus Christ.

May every weapon formed against me be disarmed and it’s power rendered null and void. May every assignment against me, my family and ministry be cancelled in the name of Jesus Christ, with no transference of power. I bind every spirit of retaliation, revenge, punishment and backlash from coming against me, my family and ministry and command them to the feet of Jesus Christ.

I renounce all ties to witchcraft, Satanism, Lucifarianism, the Illuminati, Free Masonry, (list any other groups you have ties too), and to Lucifer himself. I forgive myself for any participation with these, and commend my soul and spirit to the Lord Jesus Christ and no other spirit. I pledge myself and my life to serve only Jesus Christ, and no other gods.

I ask Jesus to remove all human spirits and cloak every portal that human spirits use to access my being until it can be removed. I ask that God put my armor on and cleanse me with His blood, and be the barrier between the kingdom of darkness and myself. I ask that Jesus bless every person coming against me or my family and ministry right now, engulfing them in His love and truth.

Holy Spirit, please fill every part of my being with your truth and love. I trust you God, to be my protector, provider, and Father, in every area of my life. I pray all of this in Jesus name. Amen.

The Most Important Sign That You Need Deliverance

deliveranceWhen I first became a Christian, I had never even heard the term ‘deliverance’. I had no idea what it was, and I had no idea that Christians could even have demons. Once I had a firm foothold on the basics of Christianity, I knew I was a good Christian. I went to Bible Studies every week, got baptized, joined a church and did all the right things. I made sure to get rid of everything from the occult I had from my past and repented of all of my involvement with it. I was certain I was doing really well as a Christian.

I saw the fruit of Christ in my life in many ways. I had changed the way I talked, dressed, ate, what I watched and listened too. I was fully submitting myself to Christ in every way I could. Yet as time went on I was still struggling with some sins that I could not get rid of, as well as some other problems that plagued me. So I began searching diligently for answers as to why I had seen so much positive change, yet still struggled so desperately in some areas.

That is when I began to learn about the demonic forces that work against God’s people and how they affect us. It was a learning process that took time for me to understand. It was so contrary to everything that I had learned from church and Bible studies. No one I knew talked about demons and their effects on us, so it took a lot of research on my part to get the answers I was looking for.

As I began to realize that I was indeed fighting dark forces of the spiritual nature in my personal struggles, I began looking for people who could help me. I sought out healing prayer and deliverance prayer in hopes to find relief. Suffering began to really plague me, and the prayer usually offered a temporary relief, but still not enough. That is until God brought me a deliverance ministry that was actually trained and experienced in getting real results.

At that point I had been prayed for so many times I really wasn’t interested. However, my obedience to the Holy Spirit lead me to pursue this new avenue into deliverance. Deliverance is a subject that seems daunting to many. It reminds some of horror movies where your head spins around in circles and spews out green goo. I can assure you, with a properly trained ministry, things like that would never occur.

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

John 8:32

A deliverance ministry that is grounded in the Holy Spirit will be calm and will reveal to you the ways in which the devil has been hindering you all your life. It will also reveal to you a new depth in your relationship with Christ, as well as your spiritual gifts. The Holy Spirit is the true leader of a deliverance session, and the deliverance minister is just the facilitator.

In order to determine whether or not you are in need of deliverance, there is only one important question you need to ask yourself. Are you saved? If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you need a deliverance. Every Christian, no matter where they are in their walk with Christ, needs a deliverance.

Why is it so important that every Christian receive a spiritual deliverance? This is critical to understand, so that we can move forward into our freedom and healing in Christ. When we are born, we are born into generational sin, as well as generational curses. Generational sin goes down the blood line for up to four generations. That means, if your great, great grandfather committed murder, was sexually immoral, or practiced occultism, etc. you are now affected by that sin.

But if they will confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors—their unfaithfulness and their hostility toward me,  which made me hostile toward them so that I sent them into the land of their enemies—then when their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they pay for their sin,  I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.

Leviticus 26:40-42

Having curses or demons in your life does not speak of your relationship with Christ, or of what kind of person you are. Anyone and everyone can have demonic oppression over their lives. It is completely normal and should actually be expected. When Jesus walked the earth for His ministry, He was constantly casting demons out of people. It wasn’t because they were bad people or had committed sin; it was because it’s simply part of the human condition.

When Adam and Eve rebelled against God in the Garden, they aligned themselves with the Kingdom of Darkness. This rebellion was an act of witchcraft and a curse on all mankind to inherit this nature of sin aka rebellion against God. No matter how hard we try, we cannot stop the nature of our rebellion. It is only through partnering with the Holy Spirit inside of us that we can follow the will of Christ and align our minds to His.

However, so many people struggle daily to even do this. They are unable to follow the Holy Spirit or fully submit their hearts to God’s plan for their lives. They have strongholds in some areas of their lives that they cannot conquer. For some, even cultivating a relationship with Christ is next to impossible. The struggle is real and deliverance is the first step.

‘The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.’

Numbers 14:18

There are so many signs of oppression that a person could look for in their lives. Signs that you have demonic activity that is bringing you pain and struggle. The bottom line is, every single Christian needs a deliverance session with a trained and qualified ministry that has proven results to back them up. We don’t want to go out desperately searching for anyone who might help us, but instead wait on God’s timing.

God will lead us where He wants us to go. As you can see from my testimony, trying to do it on your own does not lead to the best results. After all my desperate searching the only real help I got was when God lead the way, not me.

Can a deliverance really help you? Maybe you think that you are doing well, just like I did. You seem to have everything together and really can’t see the point of a deliverance. One of the most important reasons to do deliverance is not only for yourself and your own personal freedom, but for your family. Whether you see the fruit of sin and rebellion in your life or not, it is there. This means that it is also affecting your spouse, your children, your grandchildren, and everyone in your family.

Every person that has a deliverance is actually bringing freedom into the lives of all of their loved ones. You are breaking off strongholds that would have gone down into the generations after you. You are walking out a model of personal healing and freedom for your family members, which will have a profound effect on them. Once I had my deliverance session, my husband was freed up enough to have one of his own.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

1 John 1:8-10

deliveranceIn my deliverance session I found out about generational curses and blood rights over me that affected my children, that I could have had no way of knowing otherwise. Everything I do, is for my children. Yes I want to be free, and I want to walk out my call and connect even more with Christ, but even more, I want these things for my family. For my parents, my children, my husband, and everyone else that’s connected to me. If I could do any of this for anyone, I would do it for them.

Time and time again God has shown me how every step I take in freedom is freeing someone I love. I want to see my sons not have to fight some of the same battles I have had too. I want the generations that come up after them to be free from all of the oppression, strongholds and rebellion that have been passed down from generation to generation. I want a heritage of the Lord Jesus Christ over my family line, and no other.

Deliverance can sound very scary for some, and completely unnecessary to others, but I can guarantee you, that if you are a born again Christian, you will greatly benefit from a deliverance session. It is one of the most important steps any Christian can take in their walk with Christ, and it helps lead us to not only freedom, but the maturity as believers we desire to achieve. Stop allowing the thoughts and motives of the world hold you back, and go to your Father and ask Him to lead the way. Trust in Him to show you what your next step in this process is. He is a good father, that gives His children good gifts.

I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame. You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God and there is none else. And my people shall never again be put to shame.

Joel 2:25-27

Encouragement For The Battle Weary

battleToday was a very difficult day for me. The minute I woke up I felt the pressure over my head squeezing me and began to pray. I tried to go through my normal morning routines, but before long my youngest two sons were out of control. They were screaming at each other, insulting each other, threatening violence against each each other, and even talking about wanting to die. I was barely able to hold it together. I was shaking on the inside, trying the best I could to not completely fall apart. I could get no discernment on why I felt so terrible, so all I could do was to hold on and say the name of Jesus.

It turns out that my household was under attack from a territorial spirit, who is on assignment, using generational blood rights through my husbands family line. I am no stranger to the war the devil has been waging against us. Some days I can stand up under the weight, but today I was being crushed.  The war was more than I could bear and I just wanted peace in my household, and in my soul.

As I cried out to God, I pleaded with Him to just make the war stop. Doesn’t He know I’m not strong enough to carry this load anymore? Doesn’t He understand that it is just too much for one person to bear? Tears stream down my cheeks as I pray to not feel like a pile of crap for one day. I don’t want to be this person anymore; I just want to be normal.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

2 Corinthians 4:7-9

I do not tell you this because I am looking for sympathy. No, I am telling you this, so that you can know you are not alone. I know you feel like you are the only one fighting what seems like an endless battle; but you are not. You do not have to be strong enough. You were never made to carry the weight of this war on your own.

I have tried very hard to be strong enough, but I have always failed. I have tried very hard to carry myself through these difficult days, but I just cannot do it. I know there are many more just like me, holding our torches in the darkness. We are the light bearers, a beacon to the world, calling out to rise up in the midst of our pain and shame. Yet we have to remember one thing, we are not holding our own lights; we are holding the Light of The World. Jesus.

Imagine what it was like for Christ on His last day here in the flesh. He was betrayed by his friends. He was arrested and falsely accused. He was publicly humiliated, beaten to a bloody pulp, and forced to carry His own cross to His murder. He had His belongings stolen from Him, as He was mocked and laughed at. He was separated from God the Father and had to experience death and hell. And He did all of this for you.

Jesus saw your pain and your sins as He lay dying on that cross. He knew each burden we would have to bear, each shameful act that was perpetrated on us. That is why He chose to suffer as he did. Not because He had to, but because He loved you. So whatever we are going through right now, no matter how hard it is or how bad it feels, we can stand under the weight of it, because Jesus Christ is holding us up.

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

In this world we are blessed with the gift of a body and mind and emotions. These things make up our soul, which is an integral part of our experience here. However, it is not the compass that should guide us on this journey of life. Our souls are subject to many things in this world. Pain, suffering, abandonment, rejection, fear, terror, and so much more. It is through these many experiences of life that we begin to allow our souls to mold and shape who we are. We get lost, forgetting that we were not made as a soul, but as a spirit.

It is our spirits that reside in heavenly places with Christ right now. And it is our spirits that return to God after we depart from our bodies, leaving behind all of our earthly pains and problems. Once we are in heaven, we will not even remember what we struggled through on this earth. This are heavenly truths that God teaches us in His Word, and these are truths we must instill as deeply within our souls as possible.

We cannot allow our souls to dictate our lives, because when we do we are disconnecting from these important truths. We are one with God, who lives inside of us. We are spirit, created for eternity in communion with our Creator. We are children of the Most High, who calls us Beloved. We are are royal priesthood, called out of darkness to be the glory of God the Father.

We were created through Jesus and for Jesus, and when we try to remove Jesus from our lives, true suffering begins. We listen to the lies of the world: you are strong and independent. You don’t need anyone. You can do this on your own. You are a physical being in a physical world. Experience everything the flesh has to offer, and think of consequences later. Do as you please in every moment, and don’t allow anyone to tell you otherwise.

This is why we have one of the most powerful tools in the world to use against the lies of the world and the deceit of our hearts. The Word of God. Jesus is the Word, and His word will always hold true. It will never change, nor will it ever fail us. When we hide God’s Word in our hearts, it can never be taken from us. God’s Truth is our key to renewing our minds daily and bring healing and transformation into our hearts.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4;16-18

Whatever lies we have believed, whatever pain has been inflicted upon us, can all be healed and soothed by the truths and promises given to us from our Heavenly Father. We need to begin to build up a firm foundation on the Rock of Jesus Christ, so that when everything around us becomes unstable or when we feel shaken to the very core, we can know that none of that matters in the scope of eternity.

Healing is a process and a journey, one that can feel slow and painful, but will always be rewarded in the end. No matter how we feel we need to set all of that aside, and dig in deeper to the heavenly hope that created us. While growing roots into Jesus Christ may not stop the war, it will certainly bring you strength that you otherwise would never have. We are not called to find safety in the midst of peace, but in the midst of the battle raging all around us. Safety is the presence of Jesus in our daily battles, not the absence of war.

Right now, Jesus is calling you out of your hiding place, and saying ‘Rise up Mighty Warrior!’. You have been laying on the threshing floor, waiting for your death to come, but it is time to rise up. You are not dead, but alive in Christ. Rise up and take your rightful place in God’s mighty Kingdom, as a rightful heir and son or daughter. Take up your sword and fight. You were not called to a life of fear, but to a life of courage and honor for the Lord.

I personally know how difficult this battle is. You are not alone in this fight. We are all in this together, and more importantly, Jesus is here with us in the midst of it all. No matter what we feel, no matter what we see, Jesus has promised us this. You are not here by accident or by mistake. You were chosen for such a time as this, and through the strength and might of our Lord and Savior, you will overcome and persevere.

So when the battle becomes more than you can bear, rise up in the knowledge of God’s Truth and love, and with faith continue the fight.

For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near.  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Breaking Ties To The Occult

occult tiesWhen I first came into a realization that I was still connected to the occult, I was confounded to say the least. I had come into this amazing relationship with Christ and had renounced witchcraft, and all my involvement with the occult numerous times. Wasn’t that enough? For some it may well be enough, but for me I knew there was something more than what I was experiencing in this life, something so palpable and tangible that I was willing to keep working to pursue it. That something was personally knowing Christ.

I had come to a point where I had seen the face of God, and felt His love envelope me. That was enough to know that what I was experiencing as a Christian was but a taste of what I was created to have. These times of experiencing God like this were mere moments in my life; and those fleeting moments left an impression on me so deep that I would do whatever it took to have more of the Living God.

I was so oppressed at that point in time. I had brain fog, depression, explosive anger, physical pains and much more. All of this was getting in the way of my daily life, let alone coming closer to God. If this oppression was what was getting in the way of my relationship with Jesus, then it had to be healed and removed. The problem was I had already tried everything I could think of to fix it, and nothing helped.

As the deer pants for streams of water,

so my soul pants for you, my God.

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.

When can I go and meet with God?

Psalm 42:1-2

As I mentioned before, I openly renounced all of my involvement with witchcraft and the occult many times. I got rid of all my books, tarot cards, crystals, enchanted items, books, and much more. I even got rid of anything that was about witchcraft, such as movies with witchcraft, or fiction books with witchcraft. I was serious about cutting that part of my life off completely. So why was I so oppressed? What had I done to deserve this torment and hell I was living in?

The question was not what had I done, but what had been done to me. The connections to the occult do not always come simply because you chose to participate openly in witchcraft of some sort. As a matter of fact, many people who are attracted to the occult will most likely find they already have hidden connections to the occult within them. That is the reason the attraction is there.

In my last post I talked about being how being indoctrinated into the occult can happen to anyone and they can be completely unaware. I described how blood ties are all that is needed in order to create a connection with the occult into a person. You need not ever openly pursue witchcraft or the occult in order to have been indoctrinated into it’s belief systems. The occult is a way of life, much like Christianity. It prescribes to certain beliefs, thought processes, and mind sets. These beliefs are constantly reinforced through many TV programs, movies, music, and much more.

What I came to learn over this past year is that my connections the occult and witchcraft ran so deep, that even I was unaware of them. Many of my ancestors had been involved in the occult through false religions and worship of false gods and goddesses. Through these false beliefs they were indoctrinated into, they were convinced to give over access to, and the blood rights of, every generation after them. That was all that was needed for the devil to be able to begin his plan over my life.

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

2 Thessalonians 2:9

Thankfully God had a plan far before Satan ever did. He had a plan over my life to bring hope and truth into this dark world. He chose me to be a light, shining brightly in the midst of this darkness, and bring many more torch bearers into awareness with me. At first I really couldn’t hear any of this truth. It was hard enough understanding that I was still in the occult. Let alone that I had been tortured into agreeing to allow many more connections to the occult inside of me.

Many people like myself will have experienced the same type of things, to varying degrees and levels, and have no memory of it either. I only was able to come into the truth of my life because I was willing to pursue Jesus with every ounce of my being. That meant going into the very darkness I had been trying so desperately to hide from. You see, because of the terrible events I was forced to participate in, I believed nothing by horrible things about myself. It was those beliefs; that I was evil, bad, that God hated me, that I was irredeemable; that kept me from every wanting to seek the truth. How could I go to God to find truth when it was the truth that was going to expose how evil I truly was?

Yet week after week I have been willing to walk into the pain, the hell, the terrible memories, and allow Jesus to bring light to all these dark places inside of me. I have been exposed to so much truth and hope and light that it has changed me in ways that are absolutely remarkable. I have gone from oppressed to encouraged; and it is all because of my surrender.

God has a plan for each one of our lives. A plan to bring us into His glory in this world. A plan to partner with us to do amazing things for His Kingdom. This plan was set in place for before the foundation of the world was even laid. Yet many of us have become lost and forsaken in a world that seems to constantly beat us down. God has not given up on you. He hasn’t even begun to show you the miracles He will work inside of you.

How can a person who suspects that have been indoctrinated into the occult find freedom? Finding freedom is a process. There is no clear and concise guide on how to do so, but there are definite tools to help a person who is seeking healing and freedom. Each person is going to come to this path in a different way, because each person is unique. Every person has different levels of oppression and also of denial that keep them from knowing more about the hidden truth within them. Yet there is nothing that is impossible with God.

The first step is just to begin to try to connect on a deeper level of intimacy with Christ. Knowing Him more will give us so much strength to continue on a journey that can seem hopeless or impossible. Yet for some, there oppression is so severe that connecting with God is so difficult that it may take great strides to make any progress. Fear not, God will reward you for all your work to connect further with Him.

Deliverance is also another very important step into freedom and healing. It is only one step however. Deliverance was never created to be the completion of the process, but instead, the beginning of it. Deliverance with a trained ministry who knows how to get to the roots of demonic oppression, curses and ancestral blood rights is going to do a great work within you. However, every Christian who has a deliverance needs to do continued work afterwards. This life is a learning process, and a gift not to be taken lightly.

I never recommend self deliverance. We do not have the tools or skill set that allows us to get to the roots of oppression, curses, and blood rights. A true deliverance minister will not only bring us into a new level of freedom, they will also help us to connect to the Holy Spirit in new and amazing ways. They will help us to see miracles happen within us. They will help us to hear the voice of the Living God for ourselves. They are facilitators who allow God to come in and run the show, while maintaining peace and stability.

But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you.

Isaiah 43:1-5

I recommend that every single Christian have a deliverance, and that they use a ministry that goes to the head demon in charge. For more information on such a ministry, please go to my FAQ page. Many Christians will highly benefit from some sort of inner healing. Inner healing is going to help with healing emotional and spiritual wounds that have been stored up throughout our lives. Every person has some degree of emotional and spiritual trauma within them that has not been addressed, and it will fester inside of us if not healed.

Every person that wants to seek deliverance and inner healing needs to be deeply in prayer over this matter. It is not something to be taken lightly. If a person is not prepared they can be easily led astray by a minister who is actual trained to lead you back into oppression. God will bring the right people into your life at the right time. It took me almost 2 years to find the deliverance ministry that helped me. Two years of fighting and suffering and begging God for help. I had to be ready.

Warfare is a normal part of the Christian walk. The devil is not going to sit idly by while we pursue freedom and the call God has for us here. He is going to do whatever he can to try to trip us up, stop us, or throw us completely off course. Remember, he has already been working against us from day 1. He is not going to stop now.

swordEach Christian needs to begin to learn how to put on the armor God has given them and use the Sword of the Spirit to fight against the devil and his schemes. We need to be able to grow in discernment so we can understand the attack of our enemy. Every good soldier needs to know what they are fighting against and why they are in the battle. Each of us are soldiers in the Mighty Army of God, and as we strengthen ourselves in the Lord, we will grow our discernment and our battle skills.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

                                                                                                                  Hebrews 12:1-2

Having the occult hidden inside of us is not something to fear. The occult is just another device of the devil that he uses to render us useless against him. These devices are not something that are impossible to overcome, but on the contrary; we were created to overcome them. Think of it this way; you have been entrenched into darkness for a reason. That reason being that when you overcome it, you have the power and the strength to help others overcome it as well. The devil does not want you to overcome it, but when you do, you will be a powerful weapon of God against the darkness.

That is exactly what keeps me going. There are many days when it becomes so difficult I truly want to give up. I want to go back to a simple life of baking and taking care of my family and leave this blog far behind. God always is so kind and loving though, as He gently reminds me that even if I was to quit, the war would still continue. I was made for this, and so were you. Together, we can partner with Jesus Christ, to become an unstoppable force to spread the glory and goodness of God.

You don’t have to be ready, you just have to be willing. Trust in Jesus. Be with Him. Tell Him your fears. He already knows them all. Believe that He is going to redeem every bit of hell you have experienced in this world and absolutely turn it around for your good. He loves you. You were worth the highest price to Him. He paid it willingly, for you. No matter how bad you may think you are, how useless or worthless. To Jesus Christ, you were worth it all. And that is a fact that nothing can change.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Demonic Oppression Or Spiritual Attack?

soldiers-856034_1920Demonic oppression and spiritual attack are two different things. I did not realize that for some time, especially when I first came into Christianity. As a new Christian I did not hear much about spiritual attack at first.  As I came to see it in my own life and recognize that it was the devil trying to bring me down and undermine me in the plan God has for me, I began to do more research on spiritual attack. I did not even know about demonic oppression at that point at all. It was not until I got further on my walk that I learned that not only are demons real, but they can actually live inside of us as Christians and wreak havoc with our lives.

I had cast demons out of myself and had demons cast out of me, but I don’t think it was really real to me that I could or did have demons until my deliverance session. During that session the ministers addressed the head demon inside of me. You can’t get much more real and in your face than that! I could hear the demon in my head, answering all the questions the deliverance minister asked of it. This was an experience that would forever change my life. It took the work of the devil to a whole new level for me. All the things I had thought were spiritual attack in my life – physical pain, sickness, brain fog, confusion, depression and much more, were not attack but oppression.

Let’s take a look at the meaning of the word attack. There is not meaning of the phrase spiritual attack in the dictionary, so I would like to start with just the words attack and oppression.

Attack:  1) to set upon in a forceful, violent, hostile, or aggressive way, with or without a weapon; begin fighting with.  2) to begin hostilities against; start an offensive against.  3) to blame or abuse violently or bitterly.  4) to direct unfavorable criticism against; criticize severely; argue with strongly.  5) to try to destroy, especially with verbal abuse.

Does that sound familiar to you? The devil is our enemy, and he is the accuser and the father of lies. He tries to destroy us in an aggressive way, and uses blame, criticism and verbal abuse as part of his attacks. Reminds me of one of my favorite Bible verses:

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Let’s look at some ways that the devil attacks us. Lies. Everyone has that tape in their head that plays out the lies of the devil, over and over again. You are stupid, ugly, worthless, God hates you, you will never go to heaven, you are a horrible parent, you can’t do anything right, you will never be free from your addiction. Those are just a few of the many lies that he loves to torture us with. And most of us listen to these lies and believe them. Unfortunately the devil also uses our life circumstances to back up his lies. He’s no fool. He is not going to spend time telling us how stupid we are, if he cannot give us confirmation through others saying the same things. Or maybe by causing failure in our lives to help us believe the lies.

Another way the devil attacks us is with his accusations. We can see in the Book of Job how Satan takes his accusations straight to the throne of God. He tells God that if Job didn’t have such a great life, that Job would surely curse God. Revelation tells us that Satan is busy going before God in this same manner, day and night, accusing the children of God. So what Satan does to Job is only a taste of what he is doing constantly. He is always looking for ways to disparage us before the Living God. Thankfully we have a Father in Heaven who is merciful and loving, and does not listen to these lies.

The devil also loves to use criticism and verbal abuse against us. We will never be worthy of our God, we will not be good enough to go to heaven, we are horrible sinners and need to be punished. We take these painful words on our shoulders and feel we must work harder to try to live up to an impossible standard that Satan has set, not God. Trying desperately to work to be better, righteous, and worthy. Punishing ourselves relentlessly when we constantly fail. It turns into a vicious cycle that never ends.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 6:12

Now let’s take a look at the word oppression:

Oppression: 1) the exercise of authority or power in a burdensome, cruel, or unjust manner  2) an act or instance of oppressing or subjecting to cruel or unjust impositions or restraints.  3) the state of being oppressed.  4) the feeling of being heavily burdened, mentally or physically, by troubles, adverse conditions, anxiety, etc.

Oppression shows that the devil has gotten some sort of power to subject a person to being heavily burdened by cruel means. How would the devil have any power in the life of a believer? Well, simply put, people (Christians included), open up gateways for the devil and his demons to come in. We can open it through witchcraft, addiction, sexual sin, drugs, and many other sins. Witchcraft is actually very prevalent in our society, and more people get involved with it than even realize. Once the devil gets an “in” to a person, the door has been opened and it takes work and the help of Jesus Christ to shut it. If you are unaware that you have even opened a gate (which is the devil’s intention) then you can go on indefinitely with it open. Which means the devil has free access to that area of your life.

Another way that the devil gets a foothold for oppression in a person’s life is through generation sin, and through ancestral curses that come down your bloodline. This is also an often unrecognized fact, that is more like a plague than anything else. It only takes one person (usually it’s the man who is the head of his house) to get involved in the occult and then give away the rights to every generation after himself. It is very common. For instance, Mormons, Freemasons, and other cults or organizations (Moose or Elk Lodge, etc) have been known to practice satanic rituals where they do blood rituals in order to gain power and wealth. Usually the males that join have no idea and are lured into the group under the pretense that they are going to belong to an prominent group and be someone important. Within a matter of time, they are selling their souls and the souls of their entire family line.

‘The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.’

Numbers 14:18

Oppression often manifests in physical, mental and emotional ways, such as illness, disease, death, mental illness, depression, anxiety, compulsive behavior, chronic disease, and much more. This is a clear sign that the devil has now entered into a person and is wreaking havoc with their health (mental, physical and spiritual health). Many people get ill or depressed and they think it must be genetic or because they need to change their diet, etc. Not to say those things do not affect us, but it is the perfect cover up to be focused on the obvious thing we see before us, and not think about the spiritual aspect of what is going on. Things in our spiritual life manifest themselves physically. We are spiritual beings in a physical house. So our spirit gets our attention by using our bodies, when we completely miss the spiritual signs. Which happens most of the time for most people. We have been trained away from being in tune with our spirits and the spiritual realm. The devil knows that if he keeps us focused on what is right in front of us, he can keep us trapped in his deceptions.

Spiritual attack is something that comes at you unexpectedly, and can be thwarted or defended against. Demonic oppression is being burdened under the power of demons inside of us. I think it is important to recognize when we are under attack vs when we are oppressed. If the devil can keep us thinking we are only under attack, we will miss the bigger picture of our spiritual health. We will keep fighting a battle that we can’t win, because the battle is now within. When you have oppression, you need the help of the Holy Spirit (and hopefully a trained deliverance minister) to cast out the demons that have gained access, and then close the doors that have let them in. This is especially important if you have been involved with witchcraft or have ancestral bloodlines tied to the occult.

It is important to know your enemy and know how to fight him. If you do not know what the enemy is doing in your life, you are going to continue to struggle with many problems. Jesus absolutely has given us power and authority to trample over Satan, but there are laws in the spiritual realm. Just as the devil went to God to attack Job, he also went to God to attack Peter. At that point in time, Jesus knew that Peter was not prepared to go into a battle of that level. He still had so much to learn. Yet because he had the intimate relationship with Jesus, Peter was able to hear Jesus tell him the plans Satan had for him. We must partner with God to fight these battles, and we must learn and strengthen ourselves in order to prevail. Yes, at the last day, Satan will be defeated when Jesus returns. But until then we have a job to learn about how we are to partner with God to fight him, in order to strengthen our brothers and sisters, and help spread the Gospel message to those dying around us.

But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:3

Many of us are being held hostage. We are like prisoners in a gilded cage. We have convinced ourselves that our imprisonment is not really a bad thing, and then make ourselves perfectly comfortable in it. Because facing the root cause of what brought us to this cell in the first place, is far more painful than the bondage we are suffering. This is not the life God has called you too. He has not called you to suffer demonic oppression. He has not called you to be depressed, or addicted to drugs, or living with a chronic disease. It does not help you in any way to suffer, because there is no righteous cause for it. Yes, bad things happen to good people, and that is not God’s plan either. He has a remedy for it though – freedom through Jesus Christ. Freedom is not just a sinner’s prayer, but a deliverance and healing so we can fully surrender to the will of God. We need to heal our souls and free ourselves from bondage so we can align ourselves with God and the call He has for our lives.

demonic oppressionGod has called you out, before time began. He knew you and created you for a special purpose. Do you want to live your life and fulfill that call, or do you want to stay in your gilded cage where it appears safe? Freedom in this life is not easy, but God never said it would be. He told us it would be difficult and full of trials, but He also promised us that He would be right there with us. God has so much to teach you! He is preparing you right now in this very moment! Every single  thing in this life that you have gone through will be used for your good! And in return it will benefit the Kingdom! God does not waste anything, especially that bad things we have to experience. Let you life be a living sacrifice to God, in full surrender. Experience His presence and love and new and inspiring ways. He is right here with you, right now, in this very moment. Calling to you. Whether you can hear it or not. He is whispering in your ear, with passion and adoration, because you are His dear child.

The devil has had his day. And now it is done. Give in no more to the temptation to sin and stay in the hell of your own creation. The devil may have helped you open up the door to his pit, but only you can choose to stay in it. In Christ, you are free. Now live it. Seek first the Kingdom of God, and see just what God has in store for you!

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.  And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
