Christ: Our Living Sacrifice

When I lived for the occult, my pain was always greater than my joy. I lived in urgent expectancy of punishment, discipline, and death on a daily basis. There was no such thing as grace or mercy unless you fully obeyed, and even then the only mercy I received was temporary relief from the torment I was under.

Every decision I was used to making was under duress because my only option was worship Lucifer or die. How can anyone, let alone a child, make a free will decision in those dire circumstances? Yet still, the more power they offered me during those days, the more I began to believe I needed to grasp onto it because more power meant less death.

In the Kingdom of Darkness, you are raised to power to share in the glory through being dominated and taken over by powerful spiritual forces of this world. You share in Lucifer’s kingdom by submitting your life unto death, surrendering every bit of free will you have to him in complete domination.

And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.

Colossians 3:4

Yet in the Kingdom of God, it is exactly the opposite of this. God has gone out of His way to give us the right to our free will choices. We do not have to choose Him if we decide not to. We have every right to reject Him and chose as we will. He does not condemn us for our choice, but our choice condemns us instead.

God does not revel in punishing us but was willing to humble Himself to become a man and live a human existence in order to make a way for us to come before His throne of grace and mercy. As a matter of fact, God the Father sacrificed His one and only Son so that whoever believes will come into eternity with Him in heaven. What a joy this news is!

How can the human mind even fathom such a wonderful and beautiful choice, especially after having no real choices ever before? My life has always been sacrifice or be sacrificed, but Jesus says instead, I will be the sacrifice in your place. What god would do such a thing?!

In the Kingdom of Darkness, you are offered a way to ascend into the ‘highest heavens’ through your hard work. That is, to work to gain a good reputation among the occult. To earn and find favor with the highest ranking beings, whether they be human or spiritual. You give up everything you have, your life, your soul, your children, your family, your finances; all so you can gain more power and more control.

Behold, to the LORD your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it.

Deuteronomy 10:14

What they don’t tell you is what you are really being offered is so much less than what you gave. They take your soul and imprison it in hell. They take your future generations and bind them to slavery for all time. They give you a limited power, that is run on witchcraft and human sacrifice. There is no true freedom from your pain because once you give over rights to your soul, all you receive in return is permissions for spirits to access your body 24/7.

There is no end to the torment that comes when these spirits access your being. They cause all manner of physical, mental and emotional pain and torment as they attempt to control you and manipulate those around you, in order to use you as a stepping stone to their own prestige.

Yet in the Kingdom of God, the sacrifice is made. As long as you willingly believe and confess that Jesus Christ died on the cross to make restitution for all your sins, then you get a free ticket into heaven. Once there you get to share in His glory, and co-heirs with Christ. How can that even be possible? You only have to believe to receive? What kind of upside-down world does such a thing come from?

and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

Romans 8:16

Lucifer has gone through great lengths to counterfeit the Kingdom of God with his own false kingdom, and so many have fallen prey to it. God has gone through great lengths to warn to remove every strand of Lucifers influence from our lives, starting in the Old Testament. He knew exactly what direction society as a whole was heading, and wanted to reserve a people for Himself who would not bow down to worship Lucifer. Yet we continued to doubt God and instead trust in Lucifer, even when it meant killing our own children.

God is not a God of punishment and backlash. He is a God of reason, justice, truth, and eternal mercy. He does not ask for more than we can give ever, and He always gives us a choice to obey. We have become stubborn and obstinate people because we are subject to the curse brought about by Adam and Eve. If we would only humble ourselves enough to see that we are not gods and can never be and allow the One True Living God to take that place, we will indeed find the peace we have so desperately been searching for.

There is forgiveness for our sins, all of them. It does not matter how low we’ve gone or how high we’ve reached in getting there. All that matters is that we can humble ourselves to see ourselves for who we truly are. Mortals in need of a loving God who can care for us and lavish us with more love than the human mind can comprehend. We cannot punish ourselves into the Kingdom of God, nor can we will ourselves there. It takes a true act of contrition to receive His wonderful mercy and never-ending grace.

For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.
